IPS-Integrated Project Services in Houston seeks a Senior Commissioning Specialist to lead complex system testing and drive schedule, risk, and quality for critical-path commissioning across disciplines.

You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with project teams, and ensure compliance with ASHRAE/NFPA and local codes while maintaining thorough documentation and safe operations. This role requires travel up to 75% of the time and a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, information technology, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in data center commissioning, critical facilities operations, or MEP systems testing.
• Advanced Knowledge of electrical distribution, HVAC, EPMS/BMS/ and integrated systems testing in critical environments.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as ASHRAE, NFPA, and local building codes.
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings and one-line drawings.
• OSHA 10 and First Aid/CPR certification (IPS will provide tools) must be maintained during employment.

Responsabilités

• Leads complex system commissioning and testing across disciplines.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute commissioning activities for mechanical, electrical, and associated systems.
• Develop and execute commissioning plans, conduct performance tests, verify control systems.
• Maintain comprehensive records of commissioning activities, test results, and discrepancies.
• Travel up to 75% of the time.
• Safety and regulatory compliance throughout projects.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
