Job summary

NextGen | GTA: A Kelly Telecom Company in Red Oak, TX is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead data center commissioning from planning through turnover. You will coordinate cross-functional project teams, develop commissioning plans, and supervise testing of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and control systems to ensure safety, efficiency, and quality.

The role requires strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, plus a minimum of 5 years in data center

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of data center commissioning experience.
• Strong knowledge of mission-critical infrastructure including electrical distribution, UPS, generators, chillers, and building automation.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and commissioning documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning process for large-scale data center projects from planning through turnover.
• Develop and execute commissioning plans, schedules, procedures, and documentation.
• Coordinate activities with project managers, contractors, vendors, and client reps.
• Oversee pre-functional and functional testing of MEP and control systems.
• Monitor schedules and milestones to ensure timely completion.
• Identify and track deficiencies through resolution and closeout.
• Facilitate commissioning meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with specifications, safety, and client expectations.
• Review design documents to support readiness and turnover packages.
