Job summary

PCL Construction Services, Inc. is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to support national data center growth.

This on-site role requires hands-on startup and commissioning of industrial systems across Texas, Arizona, Oregon, and Utah. You will develop schedules, review test documents, provide technical support during installation and testing, and collaborate with engineering and operations to ensure readiness and successful turnover while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Control Systems Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
3+ years of startup and commissioning experience in industrial or water/wastewater systems.
Strong knowledge of Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) and Systems Integration.
Proficiency in project planning and scheduling, including look-ahead tools and commissioning tracking systems.
Solid understanding of construction processes, project coordination, and risk management.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and perform on-site startup and commissioning activities for assigned systems and subsystems.
Develop, maintain, and update the commissioning schedule and rolling look-ahead plan to align with milestones and priorities.
Review and control component and system test documentation to ensure design intent and contract compliance.
Provide technical support during installation, startup, and functional testing, resolving issues in real time.
Collaborate with engineering, construction, and operations teams to ensure commissioning readiness and system handover.
