Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Commissioning Engineer to oversee electrical and mechanical infrastructure testing and validation in our global data centers. You will review designs, lead Factory Witness Testing, and manage commissioning vendors on site while driving improvements.

On a typical project, you’ll collaborate with multiple teams, manage schedules, and report progress. This role requires travel domestically and internationally up to 80% and a willingness to work in

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering, installation, or startup/commissioning experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or 5+ years related experience.
• Technical competency in mechanical, electrical, or controls systems.
• Ability to review design documents and vendor submittals.
• Experience developing commissioning documentation and test plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide testing and validation oversight of electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
• Review design documents, lead Factory Witness Testing and coordinate vendors.
• Coordinate across engineering, capacity delivery, operations and contractors on site.
• Prepare weekly status reports and capture lessons learned for program improvements.
