Job summary

ServicePoint IT seeks a skilled Structured Cabling/Low Technician in the Kansas City region to install, test, and document cabling and fiber within large-scale data centers. You will perform cable pulls, routing, labeling, and QA to ensure reliable enterprise networks.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in data center cabling, fiber termination, and ducting, with proficiency in patch panels, racks, and blueprints. OSHA safety standards apply on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of structured cabling experience in data centers or enterprise environments.
• Proficient with fiber optic cabling installation, termination, splicing, testing, and related tools.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and technical documentation; familiarity with patch panels and racks.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test CAT5, CAT6, and fiber in data center environments.
• Perform cable pulls, routing, dressing, labeling, and documentation.
• Coordinate with network equipment and infrastructure teams for clean installations.
• Conduct site assessments and pre-install planning for efficient cable management.
• Follow safety guidelines including working at heights and in confined spaces.
