Job summary

Ciscommunications in Umatilla, OR, seeks a Part-Time Project Manager Assistant to support data center cabling projects. You will assist the Project Manager in coordinating daily activities, tracking progress, maintaining docs, and communicating with clients and field teams.

This hands-on role suits someone familiar with telecom or structured cabling who wants to grow in project management. Flexible hours and on-site work with some travel await.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional construction/PM coursework preferred.
• 1+ year experience in structured cabling, telecom, or low voltage project support.
• Familiarity with fiber and copper cabling types and labeling standards.
• Strong Excel/Outlook skills; Procore/Smartsheet experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and scheduling of structured cabling projects within live data centers.
• Track milestones, material deliveries, change orders, and installation progress.
• Maintain organized project documentation including floorplans, cable schedules, RFxs, and as-builts.
• Support communication between field technicians, vendors, and clients.
• Help prepare project status reports, billing documentation, and closeout packages.
• Coordinate site walk-throughs, daily reports, and punch lists per PM.
• Ensure compliance with customer specs, company standards, and safety protocols.
• Monitor procurement needs and assist inventory/work orders.
