Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Data Center Cable Technician in Montgomery, Alabama to install, cable, test, and maintain critical IT infrastructure in a demanding data center environment. Expect day shifts, 50+ hours weekly, and travel with lodging provided when needed.

Candidates should be comfortable with physically intensive work and able to pass background and drug screening. OSHA 10 certification is required before start date.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks in a data center environment.
• Knowledge of basic cabling and hardware handling.
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Rack, mount, and secure servers and network equipment in racks.
• Install, route, terminate, and dress copper and fiber cabling per standards.
• Label ports and maintain accurate asset inventories and project docs.
• Power on devices, run basic diagnostics, and verify connectivity.
• Assist with migrations and equipment upgrades as needed.
