Insight Global is seeking experienced Data Center Cable Technicians for a leading technology infrastructure client in Abilene, TX. You will install, terminate, test, troubleshoot, and maintain fiber optic and copper cabling in mission-critical data centers.

Senior-level technicians mentor teams, enforce safety standards, and perform advanced fiber fusion splicing and troubleshooting. Occasional overtime, travel, and long-term growth opportunities are available.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ to 5+ years of structured cabling and data center experience.
• Experience installing, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting fiber and copper cabling.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of NEC, ANSI, TIA, EIA, and BICSI standards is a plus.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking experienced Data Center Cable Technicians for a leading technology infrastructure client supporting large-scale data center deployments in Abilene, TX. These technicians will be responsible for installing, terminating, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining fiber optic, copper, and low-voltage cabling systems within mission-critical environments. The ideal candidates will have strong structured cabling experience, hands-on knowledge of data center infrastructure, and proficiency with fiber testing equipment including Fluke, OTDR, and VFL devices. Senior-level technicians will also serve as technical leaders, mentoring junior team members, overseeing quality and safety standards, and performing advanced fiber fusion splicing and troubleshooting. Skills and Requirements

Must-Haves:
