Job summary

Insight Global is hiring Data Center Technicians to support a large-scale data center project in Temple, TX. This role requires hands-on data center infrastructure experience, including fiber and copper cabling, with a pay rate of $30–$45/hour and overtime/double-time opportunities.

Day shift 6:30 AM–5:30 PM or night shift 4:30 PM–3:30 AM, with duties spanning port auditing, patching, connectivity validation, and infrastructure documentation.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of data center, low-voltage, or data infrastructure experience
• Hands-on experience with fiber and copper cabling
• Knowledge of switches, switch ports, patch panels, and SFPs
• Ability to read cable maps and trace connections from point A to point B
• Familiarity with fiber connectors such as MPO, LC, SC, or MMC
• OSHA 10 certification or ability to obtain it prior to starting

Responsibilities

• Perform port auditing, patching, and connectivity validation
• Trace cable connections between servers, switches, patch panels, and related equipment
• Read and interpret port maps, cable schedules, and cable matrices
• Troubleshoot fiber and copper connectivity issues
• Support cable routing, patching, and infrastructure documentation

We are looking for experienced technicians with strong backgrounds in data center infrastructure, fiber/copper cabling, and network connectivity. The pay rate for this role is between $30–$45/hour, depending on experience, with overtime and double-time opportunities available.
