Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Seattle, WA is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join the Cabling Services team within the Network Lifecycle Management organization.

You will own substantial parts of large-scale systems and help develop data center digital twin automation to optimize material orders and resource allocation. Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field

Responsibilities

• As a Software Development Engineer on this team, you will take ownership of substantial parts of complex, large-scale problems with real impact on Amazon's infrastructure.
• A key focus of your work will be developing data center digital twin automation to support automated fiber infrastructure design that optimizes material orders and resource allocation at scale.
• You will have the autonomy to define your own direction, shape technical solutions, and drive meaningful outcomes across the cabling lifecycle.
