Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of data center architecture and rack design for compute, storage and networking.
• Experience with capacity planning and scalability in large data center or telecom environments.
• Solid IT security practices for data centers and colocation facilities.
• Familiarity with public cloud infrastructure and cloud-native applications.
• Proven troubleshooting and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and create layouts of data center infrastructure including facilities structure, cabinets, overhead ladders and raceways, structured cabling, aisles (hot & cold), cabinets, mechanical, electrical, servers, storage, and networking equipment.
• Perform capacity planning and resource allocation to ensure scalability and efficiency.
• Monitor and optimize performance of data center infrastructure to meet SLAs and business needs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect data center assets and ensure compliance.
• Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades and migrations with minimal impact on operations.
• Document configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing.
• Stay current with data center technologies and best practices, implementing improvements as needed.
• Utilize AutoCAD design experience to create detailed drawings and models for layouts.
