Job summary

Hart Research Associates is seeking an entry-level Data Associate to assist in processing data sets for quantitative survey research studies. The role offers a hybrid schedule (2 days in the office) and overtime/bonuses in a dynamic, learning-focused environment.

As a temporary position for the 2026 election cycle, you will prepare, tabulate, and troubleshoot data sets, input weights, and generate outputs like cross tabs and charts while maintaining data quality.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree and/or certification in data programming/data analytics software OR proven experience
• 0-2 years related experience or related training
• Strong math/quantitative skills
• Basic knowledge of statistics and/or quantitative research
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Interest in public policy, political polling and/or survey research
• Data curiosity
• Attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Prepare, tabulate, troubleshoot and process primary data sets
• Input weights and program data sets according to the Analyst’s specifications
• Produce data output deliverables (e.g. cross tab sets, charts, tables)
• Conduct quality control checks of data sets
