Job summary

SAIC seeks a Data Architect Lead to own end-to-end data strategy for the Product Line, guiding modeling, migration, ETL, governance, and analytics across VA legacy and modern systems.

You will drive AI/ML analytics, ensure data integrity, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver real-time inventory and demand insights via VALIP and related platforms.

Requires 8+ years in data architecture/engineering, federal health IT experience preferred, and ability to obtain a Public Trust.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 13+ years of related experience.
• 8+ years in data architecture/engineering, federal health IT preferred.
• Experience with ETL, data migration, and data governance at enterprise scale.
• Proficiency with VA legacy systems (AEMS/MERS, GIP, Maximo, VistA) and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Own data architecture and governance across the Product Line.
• Lead data mapping, migration, and analytics from VA legacy systems to modern platforms.
• Develop and maintain data mapping/validation and migration plans and schedules.
• Design, build, test, and manage data tools for diverse data sources; manage tool development plans.
• Profile, cleanse, enrich, and validate data per VA standards.
• Ensure data delivered to third parties meets required standards.
• Support VALIP cloud ecosystem with automated data exchanges.
• Create centralized supply chain dashboards for real-time monitoring.
• Maintain data integrity across VALIP, Oracle Health EHR, iFAMS, and other systems.
