Job summary

The College of Southern Maryland is seeking a Data Architect within its Information Management and Technology Division to design, deploy, and govern the college-wide data architecture. You will ensure data integrity, security, and availability across systems including SIS, LMS, ERP, and analytics platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a computer technology field preferred; 3+ years in data reporting/analytics or BI; or 7+ years in data governance/BI related fields.
• Strong data management and visualization skills; ability to integrate data from multiple sources.
• Experience with data privacy and security regulations.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Knowledge of data integration and governance; experience with enterprise BI and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Data Architecture Design and Development for scalable data lakes/warehouses.
• Reporting and Analytics planning and implementation.
• Data Management and Governance including data quality and security.
• Technology Evaluation and Implementation of new data tools.
• Data Assessment and Analysis including visualization and insights.
• Data Integration and ETL design and oversight.
• Collaboration and Support with IT, faculty, admin, and staff.
