Job summary

Inter-American Development Bank seeks an analytical data architect to design and coordinate data infrastructure within the Regional and Sectoral Data Group. You will work with the Data Technology Group to align governance policies, IT infrastructure, and BI needs, delivering scalable data platforms and external-facing intelligence products.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Data Architecture, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in data architecture/engineering roles with Databricks implementation.
• Experience with metadata management platforms and data catalogs (CKAN or similar).
• Familiarity with APIs for data integration and interoperability.

Responsibilities

• Design and assess evolving data architecture, including Databricks pilot integration with CKAN DataHub.
• Embed metadata management, data lineage, and quality standards into architecture.
• Define data models, integration strategies, and APIs for sectoral/regional data access.
• Ensure governance policy compliance and collaborate on access, metadata, and security.
• Advise on technology selection and scalable, well-structured data solutions for external audiences.
• Optimize data accessibility for research, reporting, and analytics with BI tools like Power BI.
• Stay current with cloud architectures and interoperability solutions.
• Collaborate with data engineers and vendors to ensure reliable data operations and timely deliverables.
