Eliassen Group is seeking a Data Architect in the McLean, VA area for hybrid work (3 days on-site). You will design and operationalize data solutions to support analytics, reporting, and decision-making, building pipelines on AWS, and delivering automated reporting artifacts.

You will lead data validation, documentation, and stakeholder communications up to senior leadership. The role requires about 5 years of data experience, with strong Python, SQL, Spark, and Databricks skills, plus

Qualifications

• 5+ years total experience in data roles
• 4+ years professional data analysis experience
• 4+ years of programming experience
• 5+ years with Python, SQL or Spark and Databricks
• Experience automating Google Slides, Sheets, and Docs with Python
• 1+ year with Tableau or AWS QuickSight
• Proficiency with AWS services and development
• 1+ year in people or project management

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines using Python, SQL, Spark, and Databricks
• Develop automated Google Slides, Sheets, and Docs via Python
• Create dashboards and visualizations in Tableau or AWS QuickSight
• Implement data validation and quality checks
• Analyze processes, identify gaps, and produce remediation plans
• Manage project workflow including meetings, notes, follow-ups, and status reporting
• Communicate progress, risks, and insights to stakeholders up to senior director level
