VeriDex Solutions is seeking a Data Architect to design, build, and govern a next-generation data platform. Lead multi-tenant architecture using Azure, OneLake, Lakehouse, and real-time analytics to support analytics, AI, and operational workloads.

You will collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to define models, governance, and scalable patterns across the enterprise.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Data Architect with deep expertise Data Architecture to design, build, and govern our next‑generation data platform. This role will lead the architecture of a unified, scalable, multi‑tenant data ecosystem leveraging Operational Databases, OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Engineering, Data Pipelines, Real‑Time Analytics, and AI/ML workloads.

You will partner with engineering, product, and business teams to define data models, ingestion patterns, governance frameworks, and performance‑optimized architectures that power analytics, AI, and operational workloads across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect end‑to‑end Azure – based data platforms like SQL Server, Cosmos DB including Lakehouse, Warehouse, Real‑Time Analytics, and Data Science experiences.
• Design OneLake‑centric multi‑domain data architecture with medallion layers (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
• Define data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration patterns using Fabric Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, and Event Streams.
• Establish semantic models for Power BI and Fabric Warehouse to support enterprise analytics.

2. Data Modeling & Standards

• Develop canonical data models, dimensional models, and domain‑driven schemas.
• Implement data contracts, metadata standards, and schema governance.
• Optimize storage formats (Delta, Parquet) and partitioning strategies for performance and cost.

3. Governance, Security & Compliance

• Implement Fabric governance including domains, workspaces, security boundaries, and access patterns.
• Define data quality, lineage, cataloging, and security using Purview and Fabric monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise standards (e.g., SOC2, ISO, NIST, insurance regulatory frameworks).

4. AI & Advanced Analytics Enablement

• Enable AI/ML workloads using Fabric Data Science, MLflow, and integration with Azure AI Foundry.
• Architect feature stores, model training pipelines, and inference patterns.
• Support real‑time analytics using KQL databases, Event Streams, and Real‑Time Intelligence.

5. Engineering Leadership

• Provide architectural guidance to engineering teams building ingestion, transformation, and analytics solutions.
• Review solution designs, enforce best practices, and mentor developers and data engineers.
• Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise

• 15+ years in cloud data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data platform design.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including:
• OneLake, Lakehouse
• Dataflows Gen2, Warehouse
• Power BI Semantic Models
• Deep understanding of Azure services: ADLS Gen2, Synapse, Databricks, Event Hub, Functions, Purview, Key Vault.
• Strong SQL, Spark, Delta Lake, and distributed data processing skills.
• Expertise in data modeling, medallion architecture, and domain‑driven design.
• Strong understanding of data governance, lineage, cataloging, and security.
• Experience with CI/CD for data pipelines, Git integration, and DevOps practices.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to lead architecture discussions with engineering, product, and executive stakeholders.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure AI Foundry, Prompt Flow, and AI‑native data workflows.
