Job Description

An aerospace manufacturing employer is looking for a Solution Architect to join their team remotely aligned to Eastern Standard Time. This resource will join a Model Based Enterprise project team building out a new production solution of a new tool that will be used to capture and store data coming from customers, vendors, and suppliers, and make this accessible internally to drive business outcomes.

This Solution Architect will be responsible for evaluating the current tools utilized and the existing environment to help decide on a new solution, and then create the solution design, connectivity, and architect an implementation path. This person will be responsible for building and defining the scope of this project to support Model Based Engineering and the digital thread. The Solution Architect will be responsible for architecting a scalable and secure framework while defining the processes, transformation rules, and data validation mechanisms. They will need to design integration points and methods with existing systems and databases and document the requirements.

They will perform an analysis of the existing technical environment and evaluate and recommend suitable tools and technologies to move forward with for this solution. Once a selection is made, they will support the solution development and testing, as well as prepare comprehensive documentation including architecture diagrams, data flow diagrams, and user manuals. They will also need to support training sessions for end-users to ensure proper adoption of the new solution. They will plan and execute on the deployment of the solution as well as provide post-deployment support and troubleshooting. There is a multi-year vision for this project, and work will be ongoing as the solution evolves and connectivity with additional systems becomes a focus post-implementation.

Salary: $100,000-$150,000 per year
