- The Data Architect will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and refining our data warehouse framework to support our organizations strategic objectives. This includes designing enterprise-level data warehouse solutions with conventional database warehouse technologies and maintaining the corporate data warehouse environment within on-premises and cloud environments. The role involves close collaboration with leaders and technologists, driving architectural decisions, data governance, and successful implementation of scalable data systems. The Data Architect will also support operational aspects across the data environment, including managing data integrity, optimizing performance, and scaling solutions to meet business needs. A remote work arrangement is available.
Responsibilities
- Designing and developing scalable, efficient, and secure data architectures leveraging SQL Server, Azure services, and data fabrics.
- Implementing robust data models, including multidimensional modeling, to support complex requirements and ensure data accuracy.
- Leveraging Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics to architect cloud-native data solutions.
- Designing and implementing ETL processes using SSIS and other technologies to integrate data sources.
- Providing oversight on database administration, including architecture, configuration, monitoring, and security.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and drive implementation.
- Documenting data architecture designs, standards, and providing guidance.
- Maintaining security compliance and ISO270001 certifications.
- Maintaining a knowledge base with documentation, change logs, and vendor info.
- Participating in training, seminars, and industry events to stay current.
- Participating in team meetings and performing other duties as assigned.
- At least 7 years of IT experience with 4+ years as a Data Architect or similar role.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
- Experience in AI and Machine Learning integration, big data solutions, data governance, and modern data platforms.
- Knowledge of SQL development, ETL tools, and reporting tools like SSRS, PowerBI.
- Experience with SQL Server environments and self-motivation to work independently.
