Location : Remote

Type : Contract (Estimated 20–40 hours total, flexible scheduling)

About the Role

Provisions Group is seeking a highly experienced Data Architect with deep expertise in C-CDA file formats to support a focused, short-term healthcare data project. You’ll design and communicate a clear, logical process for extracting encounter-level information, including SOAP note free-text, from C-CDA formatted patient history exports from eClinicalWorks. You will work closely with our internal team to ensure the process is both technically sound and feasible to implement within a reasonable timeframe.

Key Responsibilities

• Design a logical, step-by-step process to extract encounter-level data from C-CDA files, including SOAP note free-text
• Collaborate with the Provisions Group team to ensure the process is practical and implementable
• Provide documentation and guidance to help the development team understand and apply the logic
• Participate in a scheduled onboarding session and a few follow-up briefings with the dev team
• Conduct independent research and testing as needed to refine the extraction process
• Estimated Time Commitment : 20–40 hours total
• Minimum Weekly Progress : At least 10 hours / week
• Scheduling Flexibility : Work can be done during off-hours and weekends
• Availability : Must be available during normal business hours for onboarding and occasional team briefings (scheduled in advance)

Required Qualifications

• Expert-level understanding of C-CDA file formats, including structure, tags, and nested logic
• Proven experience in healthcare data architecture, especially with EHR systems
• Strong background in data parsing, integration, and migration
• Ability to clearly communicate technical logic to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred (Not Required)

• Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW)
• Familiarity with Databricks
