Job summary

MGMA is seeking an Engineering Lead to join our Denver/hybrid team. You will serve as the technical lead for an agile pod in the Data Applications value stream, guiding delivery, architecture, and data engineering practices.

You will co-own the roadmap with product leadership, ensure high-quality delivery, and mentor engineers while maintaining hands-on involvement in coding and system design. This role emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and delivering scalable data solutions.

Qualifications

• Advanced understanding of agile software development practices (Scrum/Kanban).
• Proven experience with modern engineering and architectural patterns, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps/DevSecOps.
• Technical proficiency in .NET, C#, REST APIs, SQL, and modern front-end frameworks.
• Familiarity with microservices, cloud platforms (Azure), and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong collaboration and communication across technical and non-technical teams.
• Ability to provide leadership without formal authority and influence work.
• Experience with test automation, QA/QE processes, and performance tuning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the agile pod within the Data Applications value stream, directing developers and contributors.
• Co-develop the technical roadmap with product leadership and align with business outcomes.
• Own technical delivery, ensure coding standards, timelines, and architecture.
• Break down features, delegate tasks, and monitor progress across the pod.
• Foster high-performing teams through agile practices and continuous improvement.
• Ensure code quality through reviews, coaching, and best practices.
• Maintain hands-on involvement in coding, solutioning, and system design.
• Deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable data applications.
