Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience designing data/analytics solutions (ETL/ELT, data warehouses/lakes).
  • Experience with APIs, ERP systems, databases, or enterprise platforms.
  • Experience using Power Platform, Python, SQL or similar tools.
  • Strong ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and lead projects.

Description

Eagle Hill is seeking a Data and Analytics Manager to fill potential project roles for our U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) client. These projects will focus on data and analytics, enterprise data modernization, business intelligence, systems integration, automation, and business process improvement.

Applicants must be willing and able to work on client sites within the Washington, DC metro area on a daily basis, or as required by the client.

These roles combine hands-on data and technology expertise with strong consulting and leadership skills to translate client needs into practical, user-focused solutions. The Data and Analytics Manager will work directly with clients to design and deliver solutions across data modernization, governance, business intelligence, automation, systems integration, and process improvement that strengthen decision-making, improve efficiency, and create measurable client impact.

Managers are expected to build trusted client relationships, lead projects and workstreams, lead technical solution development, and deliver high-quality outcomes that create measurable client impact.

Specific responsibilities will vary based on project role, but may include:
  • Build trusted client relationships and advise stakeholders on data, analytics, technology, automation, and business process improvement solutions.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and data owners to understand desired business outcomes and translate business needs into functional and technical requirements, including data mappings, business rules, reference data, and system changes.
  • Design, build, integrate, and optimize data and analytics solutions that may include data warehouses, data lakes, data pipelines, APIs, ERP data, and internal or third‑party data sources.
  • Develop dashboards, reporting tools, applications, and automated workflows that improve data accessibility, decision‑making, operational efficiency, and user experience.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and improve business processes and support the design and implementation of workflow automation, RPA, or other technology solutions.
  • Implement data quality, governance, monitoring, and error‑handling controls to ensure solutions are reliable, maintainable, and scalable.
  • Lead technical projects and workstreams from requirements through implementation and adoption, coordinating team members and engaging stakeholders throughout documentation, testing, deployment, communications, training, and user support.
  • Develop and mentor junior team members and lead and/or contribute to business development activities.
QualificationsRequired
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Experience designing, developing, or implementing data and analytics solutions, which may include data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, data integrations, data warehouses, data lakes, business intelligence, or reporting solutions
  • Experience integrating or working with data from APIs, ERP systems, databases, or other enterprise platforms
  • Experience developing data, analytics, automation, or workflow solutions using technologies such as Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI, Fabric, etc.), Python, SQL, or similar tools
  • Experience creating and applying data quality, governance, lineage, or master/reference data management practices to support reliable and effective data solutions
  • Experience translating business needs into technical requirements and independently leading technical projects or workstreams from requirements through implementation
  • Experience managing client relationships and collaborating across technical and business stakeholder groups, including supporting implementation and adoption of new solutions
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a fast‑paced consulting environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Ability to successfully obtain and retain a CBP Background Investigation (BI), as well as any other background investigations required to perform client work
Desired
  • Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases, data modeling, and cloud‑based data and analytics platforms
  • Experience with data engineering and orchestration tools such as Azure Data Factory, Airflow, dbt, Spark, or Databricks
  • Experience designing or optimizing data warehouse, data lake, or lakehouse architectures to support analytics, reporting, or AI use cases
  • Experience developing and deploying workflow automation or RPA solutions for manual, rules‑based business processes
  • Experience developing or implementing enterprise data governance frameworks, including data quality, lineage, and master/reference data management
  • Experience supporting enterprise‑wide technology implementations or transformation initiatives across multiple business units or divisions
  • Experience supporting AI/ML data environments and advanced analytics initiatives
  • Experience supporting federal or public sector clients
  • Microsoft Certifications, such as:
    • Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate PL-200
    • Power Platform Fundamentals PL-900
    • Power BI Data Analyst Associate PL-300
    • Fabric Data Engineer Associate DP-700

Compensation: A reasonable expectation for a starting salary range is: $117,000 - $140,000. This range is reflective of the Washington, DC metropolitan area. When extending offers, we consider level of experience and location.
