Data Analytics Program Manager
Role Overview
A large e-commerce and logistics client is looking for a data-first program operator to own the analytics backbone of a fast-scaling energy and power planning function. This person manages large, complex datasets across hundreds to thousands of active sites in various stages of planning, due diligence, capital approval, and construction -- translating raw data into decisions and building the tracking infrastructure the team runs on.
This is not a traditional program manager role. The core skillset is data -- querying it, modeling it, centralizing it, and making it actionable. Strong operational discipline ensures that analytical outputs actually drive cross-functional alignment, risk visibility, and on-time delivery across PMO, Finance, Capital Management, Pre-Construction, and Construction stakeholders.
What You'll Do
- Own and maintain centralized trackers spanning the full site lifecycle -- from demand forecasting and site selection through power due diligence, capital approval, utility engagement, and construction delivery -- across a portfolio of hundreds to thousands of locations simultaneously
- Build and manage data models that integrate inputs from multiple internal and third-party sources into a single, reliable source of truth for portfolio health, risk, cost, and timeline status
- Design and stand up risk tracking frameworks that embed site-level due diligence outputs directly into downstream PMO and capital workflows, closing handoff gaps between site selection and delivery teams
- Produce executive-level reporting and dashboards that surface portfolio risk, cost variance, milestone status, and coverage gaps in real time
- Identify data gaps, ownership ambiguities, and process breakdowns across stakeholder groups and build the mechanisms to fix them – trackers, playbooks, operating rhythms, and escalation frameworks
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure utility infrastructure and interconnect costs flow accurately into capital approval budgets
- Drive automation opportunities across high-frequency data workflows and define requirements for tooling improvements
What You'll Need
- 5+ years in a data analyst or data-heavy program management role managing large, multi-variable datasets across complex portfolios
- PMP certification or equivalent – used to structure ambiguity, not just manage schedules
- Advanced Excel/Sheets and hands-on BI tool experience (Tableau, Power BI, Quicksight, or similar)
- SQL proficiency; Python a strong plus
- Proven ability to build centralized tracking and reporting infrastructure from scratch across multiple stakeholder groups
- Experience in capital-intensive industries – energy, utilities, infrastructure, real estate, or logistics strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work backward from a messy data landscape and build clean, scalable systems that others depend on
