Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Data and Analytics Manager with 5 to 7 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analyzing data, applying statistical and financial techniques, financial model building, and company research along with considering and estimating financial losses and economic impacts. This role involves managing client deliverables, managing analysts, and working closely with subject matter experts across various domains to drive impactful insights. Exceptional communication and leadership skills are essential, as well as the ability to perform under pressure and inspire others.

Key Responsibilities
1. Data Analysis and Insights Generation
  • Conduct comprehensive data analysis to identify trends, estimate liabilities, and assess economic impacts.
  • Develop and implement statistical and financial models to support client needs, deliverables, and economic forecasting.
  • Ensure all analyses are accurate, reliable, and aligned with client objectives.
2. Client Deliverables and Project Management
  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of data analysis projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet client expectations.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including consultants and subject matter experts, to translate client goals into actionable, data-driven insights.
  • Oversee project timelines, allocate resources efficiently, and ensure timely and accurate project execution.
3. Team Leadership and Development
  • Lead analysts on projects, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes growth, accountability, and innovation.
  • Provide mentorship and training to team members, encouraging professional development and skill enhancement.
  • Motivate and inspire the team, bringing out the best in each member, especially in high-pressure situations.
4. Communication and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Present findings, insights, and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering strategic insights that enhance decision-making.
  • Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring effective communication across all project phases.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience: 5-7 years in a data and analytics role, ideally within a consulting or professional services environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in statistical and financial analysis, with experience in data modelling, forecasting, and liability estimation.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with data-driven analysis within property and casualty insurance.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Proven track record of managing and mentoring teams, with the ability to foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem Solving and Pressure Management: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to perform well under pressure.
  • Tools and Technologies: Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Python, R, SQL) and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI); expert in using Excel for financial modelling.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in Data Science, Actuarial, Economics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field. • Professional certifications in actuarial data analytics or project management (e.g., PMP, CAP, or CFA) or MBA.
  • Experience in a client-facing role, with a track record of managing complex projects and delivering results.
