Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a Data Analytics Manager to transform data into actionable insights that improve products, processes, and outcomes. You will lead a team of Data Analysts delivering trusted data, meaningful insights, and scalable analytics solutions across the organization.

You will partner with Data Engineers and Data Scientists to support predictive analytics, AI capabilities, and self-service reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Math, Statistics, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, or related analytical disciplines.
• 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders, build consensus, and drive data-informed decision‑making.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, and R.
• Experience developing and supporting business intelligence, semantic modeling, and reporting solutions using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
• Exceptional analytical, judgment, organizational, and project management skills.
• Experience coaching technical and non‑technical personnel on statistical techniques and data‑driven decision‑making.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Data Analysts, fostering technical excellence and a customer-focused mindset.
• Oversee analytics projects and reporting initiatives with high-quality deliverables.
• Partner with business leaders to identify data-driven improvement opportunities.
• Align cross-functional teams to advance analytics initiatives and data governance.
• Establish processes ensuring data integrity, traceability, consistency, and trust.
• Drive best practices for defining, analyzing, and visualizing metrics across the org.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to improve data quality and datasets.
• Partner with Data Scientists to support AI-enabled decisions.
• Expand self-service reporting via data products and governed reporting solutions.
• Champion evolution toward predictive analytics and AI-enabled decision support.
• Coach teams in statistics, data literacy, and data-driven decision-making.
• Evaluate modern analytics technologies, including Microsoft Fabric.
