Cardinal Health’s Summer Internship Program offers a 10–12 week, hands-on experience in Dublin, Ohio. Interns work on business-critical analytics projects, contribute to dashboards, and present insights to leaders.

Participants gain mentoring, cross-functional exposure, and leadership development while exploring full-time opportunities and the healthcare industry. Housing assistance is available for non-local students and the schedule is approx. 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field and expected graduation between Dec 2027 and Jun 2028.
• Experience with analytical tools and programming languages is preferred (Alteryx, PowerBI, Python, R, SAS, SQL, Tableau).
• Intermediate/advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication and analytical skills.
• Participation in extracurricular activities and professional associations.

Responsibilities

• Integrate customer analytical views across sales, finance, operations, customer service, etc.
• Develop dynamic dashboards and reporting tools for stakeholders.
• Analyze trends and identify opportunities for business impact.
• Contribute to automating tasks to increase efficiency and accuracy within the analytics team.

Summer Internship Program Overview

Cardinal Health’s Summer Internship Program is a structured 10-12 week experience designed for undergraduate students who will be entering their senior year and are eager to make an impact. As an intern, you’ll work on meaningful, business-critical projects that contribute to real outcomes while gaining exposure to the healthcare industry.

Real‑World Experience Interns collaborate with Cardinal Health professionals, business partners, customers, and vendors on impactful projects and daily responsibilities. Each intern also serves on a planning committee to enhance leadership skills and concludes the summer by presenting their work to business leaders.

Interns participate in a formal mentoring program, connect with employees across the organization, and attend workshops to strengthen business acumen. The program also provides opportunities to explore full‑time career paths.

Networking Opportunities

Through the Executive Speaker Series and various networking events, interns engage with senior leaders and build relationships with professionals across the company.

Job Description Summary

Location: Dublin, Ohio

Start Date: May 17 or 24, 2027

Hours: Approximately 40 hours a week for a minimum of 10 weeks *Assistance with temporary housing is provided for students not local to the internship location.

Duties

Qualifications

• Experience with programming languages and analytical tools, preferred (Alteryx, PowerBI, Python, R, SAS, SQL, Tableau).
• Intermediate/advanced proficiency of Microsoft Excel.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication and analytical skills.
• Participation in extracurricular activities, community organizations and/or professional associations.
