Job summary

Dairyland Power is seeking a Business Analyst Intern in La Crosse, WI to turn data into actionable reports and dashboards. You will prepare data, develop KPI metrics, validate reports, and communicate insights to support strategic priorities.

You will work on cross-functional data projects, build visualizations for technical and non-technical audiences, and document data sources and calculations to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Qualifications

• Pursuing undergraduate or graduate degree in data analytics, information systems, business analytics, data science, statistics or related field.
• Foundational knowledge of effective data visualization practices and chart selection.
• Foundational knowledge of relational data, data tables and relationships.
• Ability to analyze data, recognize trends and clearly communicate findings.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain interactive scorecards & dashboards for cross functional partners.
• Develop clear data visualizations to help users understand trends and results.
• Connect, clean, transform and organize datasets from multiple sources.
• Create DAX measures and calculated columns to reflect KPIs and definitions.
• Conduct business process analysis and identify areas for improvement.
• Review and validate reports, calculations and source data for accuracy.
• Plan and execute projects aligned with business goals.
• Document data sources, definitions, calculations, and report logic.
