Job summary

rednote, based in Palo Alto, CA, is seeking a motivated student or recent graduate to join our analytics team as a part-time Analyst-in-Training. You will monitor key business metrics daily, run deep-dive analyses, and help identify root causes of anomalies while collaborating with product and engineering teams.

This role emphasizes hands-on data work, proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools, and the ability to communicate insights clearly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s student or above in statistics, math, data science or related fields.
• Proficient in SQL; able to independently write queries and process data.
• Self-motivated, quick-thinking and fast learner. Hardworking, reliable and willing to take on challenging tasks.
• Strong communication; able to present analytical logic and conclusions clearly.
• Available for at least 4 working days per week for a minimum of 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Monitor key metrics daily and investigate root causes of anomalies.
• Support execution of ad-hoc analysis projects and coordinate across teams.
• Participate in sampling evaluation and data quality checks.
