Job summary

MKS Inc. invites an Undergraduate Data Scientist Intern/Co-op to join our team in Andover, MA. You will partner with Quality, Finance, and IT to build a database system that automates metrics and migrate existing processes to a new platform. You will report to the Director, Quality & Reliability Engineering, Lasers.

The internship runs Jan 2027 through June 2027. Applicants must be available for the full duration and should be eager to learn across departments.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency or understanding in Python, MS Excel, PowerBI, Smartsheet, SQL, SharePoint, Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with IT and Finance to design a data architecture unifying information from shipping, operations, quality, and manufacturing.
• Assist migration of Smartsheet processes to a new tool and re-create data flows in the new system.
• Lead the project to migrate information from Tableau to PowerBI.
• Support the Milpitas Quality group in process automation and improvement initiatives.
