Symetra invites you to join a 12-week remote Data Analytics Internship for Summer 2027. You will work on real analytics projects, shaping clean, well-modeled datasets and contributing to data products that support business goals.

You'll explore analytics engineering areas, collaborate with engineers and analysts, and gain hands-on experience with SQL, Python, Snowflake, and dbt. This program emphasizes practical learning in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• Comfortable with SQL and Python (coursework or projects).
• Interested in analytics engineering patterns (staging/marts, testing, version control).
• Able to work with imperfect data and communicate findings clearly.
• Curious, collaborative, and eager to learn.
• Hands-on with dbt and Snowflake; basic data tests and CI familiarity.
• Exposure to NLP/sentiment or LLM workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build and refine data pipelines and transformations (Python + SQL) for defined use cases.
• Structure messy/unstructured data into analyzable, documented models.
• Prototype dashboards/BI views that communicate findings and KPIs.
• Contribute to data quality checks, basic testing, and clear documentation.
• Present results and learn best practices in analytics engineering.
