Job summary

Per Scholas in Bronx, NY seeks an Instructional Assistant (Data Analytics) to support the Lead Instructor in delivering entry-level data analytics training. You will assist with curriculum, lab setup, and student tutoring to help 15–36 learners succeed in SQL, Excel, Python/R, and visualization tools.

This role emphasizes teamwork, hands-on teaching, and daily LMS duties, including grading, attendance, and providing timely feedback.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Per Scholas Training Program (preferred) or relevant educational/work experience in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, or Information Technology.
• Proficiency in SQL for database querying and data manipulation.
• Experience with Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas) is required.
• Experience constructing interactive dashboards in Tableau or Power BI is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Instructor in conducting technical training sessions and lab activities.
• Monitor and support a class of 15–36 learners via video conferencing or in-person.
• Grade labs, quizzes, and assignments, and manage LMS-related tasks in Canvas or similar platforms.
• Provide tutoring and 1-on-1 coaching to help learners grasp concepts and complete projects.
