Job summary

Allstate's Arity division invites students to join a Summer 2027 internship focused on powering analytics projects with data from various sources. You’ll collaborate with data analysts, analytic engineers, product owners, software engineers, and designers on ETL work tracks from inception to prototyping and full development.

This dynamic role requires flexibility, analytical agility, and business acumen to deliver technical solutions using Python, SQL, and cloud platforms (GCP/AWS).

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing and will be completing a bachelor’s degree in a field such as Computer Science, Data Analytics or equivalent skills
• Basic familiarity with Python and/or Google Cloud Platform/Amazon Web Services and SQL
• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and source control (Github)
• Basic familiarity with visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker
• Computer Proficiency in Linux and bash
• Experience in time and task management
• Ability to learn new technologies
• Strong attention to detail
• Intermediate written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively collaborate with multi-disciplinary groups and all organizational levels

Responsibilities

• Utilize a multidisciplinary approach to Data Analytic problems combining technical expertise with analytics and business knowledge
• Work with other Data Analytic Engineers, Data Analysts, and business partners on embedded cross-functional teams; developing subject matter expertise in the business as well as data analytics
• Execute requirements to develop datasets for use by Data Analysts and business users
• Execute rapid development of new data work tracks with fast iteration over quick sprints
• Leverage and enhance the data infrastructure required to support Analytic needs, including AirFlow, GCP Composer and BigQuery.
• Build test scripts, execute testing, work with data engineers, analysts and business partners to ensure end user acceptance
• Contribute to an environment that supports innovation and process improvement
• Contribute to the development of corporate research data files, information platforms or data spaces designed for exploring and understanding the data
• Demonstrate analytic agility to meet fluid and dynamic business needs in this space
