Job summary

Allstate's Arity team offers a Summer 2027 internship for students enrolled in a degree program. You will work on data-powered analytics projects, partnering with analysts and engineers on ETL tracks from inception to prototyping and full development.

Strong emphasis on flexibility, business insight, and adaptability to changing data sources and technologies. The role involves contributing to scalable data pipelines and insightful visualizations, collaborating with product owners and designers,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics or equivalent.
• Basic familiarity with Python, SQL and cloud platforms (GCP/AWS).
• Familiarity with SDLC and GitHub.
• Basic familiarity with visualization tools like Tableau or Looker.
• Linux and bash proficiency.
• Time and task management experience.
• Ability to learn new technologies and adapt quickly.
• Strong attention to detail and solid communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply multidisciplinary approach to Data Analytics problems using technical and business knowledge.
• Collaborate with Data Analysts, Engineers, and business partners on cross-functional teams.
• Develop datasets for use by analysts and business users.
• Rapidly develop new data work tracks through quick sprints.
• Enhance data infrastructure (Airflow, GCP Composer, BigQuery).
• Build test scripts and ensure end-user acceptance with stakeholders.
• Contribute to innovative data platforms and research data files.
• Demonstrate analytical agility to meet evolving business needs.
