Job description

At Opencare, we are a fully remote organization and we are open to applicants across Canada for this opportunity. Our strength relies on the diversity of perspective that we work hard to craft on our team. We are all solving the same set of problems from our own unique lenses, and this is fundamental to our success as a business. Experience means something different to each of us and your unique combination of skills, passions and experiences makes you a valuable asset to our team. If the role below is of interest to you, please consider applying!

Opencare's Mission

To reinvent how dentists run their practices, so they can focus on what matters most: providing exceptional patient care.

Running a dental practice is becoming more complicated every year. At Opencare, we believe that dentists shouldn't have to worry about managing their practice, which frees them up to prioritize world-class patient care experiences. After all, we live our most important life moments through our mouths. Yet for such an important part of our body, the thought of visiting the dentist instills fear and confusion in most people. We want to change that.

Through the Opencare marketplace, we enable dentists to connect with new patients, streamline their day-to-day operations, and manage their billing seamlessly. All of this frees up time and energy that can be dedicated to helping patients understand and improve their oral wellness. We believe that people reach their full potential at work when they are happy and healthy outside of work.

Our Data Team’s Vision:

Our Data Team is driven by providing meaningful insights across the business that will accelerate our growth. Our data team works on problems that dive deep into understanding how our customers behave and how we can serve them better because we know that when we can help someone find a great dentist and prioritize their mouth wellness it’s a win-win-win. This means that our team is focused on big problems like supply/demand balancing, multi-touch attribution across multiple channels both online and offline, understanding the impact of complex communication flows, quantitatively scoping the opportunity of new product features, and testing the impact of these features through experiments so we can take actionable insights for future iterations.

How will you help us get there:

As our Data Analytics Engineer, you will work closely with our Data and Growth Marketing team to uncover new opportunities to scale patient demand by exploring our complex marketing channel data to help identify new optimizations and experiments to optimize patient acquisition. You will be unlocking growth opportunities for Opencare by understanding consumer behaviour and finding patterns in previously unexplored places. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a deep understanding of Facebook advertising who is very comfortable rolling their sleeves up in data sets. If you’re someone who gets excited about the “so what” of your analysis and wants to drive business outcomes, this is the role for you!

Your Primary Role will be to:
  • Analyze marketing performance across channels, markets, and audience segments to identify opportunities to optimize spend, scale winning strategies, and cut underperforming efforts.
  • Build and refine segmentation and attribution models to improve decision-making, pinpoint value drivers, and accelerate growth across new and existing channels.
  • Break down complex campaign data—spanning marketing channel, geography, and user behavior—to uncover trends, insights, and actionable recommendations.
  • Map the marketing funnel to understand where value is created, ensuring we double down on high-impact activities and eliminate inefficiencies.
  • Translate raw marketing data into clear insights that inform rapid experimentation, drive performance improvements, and support strategic decisions.
  • Support channel expansion by evaluating the effectiveness of new channels and how they impact/interact with the existing marketing mix.
Skills and attributes we are looking for in a successful candidate:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data analysis or a related field, preferably within a SaaS environment.
  • Knowledge of SQL and experience with Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, Looker.
  • A deep understanding of SQL and dbt to effectively build models to understand consumer behaviour.
  • Experience supporting a marketing, growth, or demand team, with the ability to understand and analyze data from complex marketing campaigns with many variables.
  • Prior hands-on experience in transforming, combining data from user event tracking (snowplow, heap, or similar), Google Ads, Facebook Ads, email marketing platforms (iterable or similar) would be an asset.
  • The ability to effectively communicate the business impact of data analysis and translate insights into actionable recommendations for key stakeholders at all levels (individual contributor to Executive leadership).

At Opencare, we are dedicated to building a diverse and inclusive workforce. We do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, or any other characteristic protected by law. We believe that diversity makes us stronger and more innovative, and we welcome applicants from all backgrounds to apply.
