Job summary

The University of Akron is seeking a senior leader in Data & Analytics to guide strategy, governance, and delivery of analytics initiatives across campuses in Ohio. The role oversees data architecture, governance, and BI ecosystem while collaborating with departments to translate data into actionable insights.

Qualified candidates will have a Master’s degree, 8+ years in data analytics, and 5+ years in lead analytics roles, with higher education experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a relevant Masters Degree.
• Requires a minimum of 8 years of experience in Data and Analytics field.
• Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience managing analytics in a lead role.
• Higher education experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and design Data & Analytics solutions from inception to delivery.
• Oversee data architecture, data warehouses, ETL, and analytics tooling.
• Establish data governance policies and ensure data security and integrity.
• Create project plans, assign tasks, and report progress to leadership.
• Supervise analysts and manage staff training and development.
• Other duties as assigned.
