Job summary

University of Mary land Global Campus (UMGC) seeks adjunct faculty to teach in the Data Analytics, Master of Science program at Dorsey Station, MD. The role emphasizes active student engagement, practical problem-based learning, and current subject-matter expertise to support adult learners in online higher education.

Training includes a two-week new faculty orientation (FacDev 411) as a condition of hire. The position will be based at UMGC's Stateside location in Dorsey Station, MD, with salary

Qualifications

• Terminal degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence or related field from an accredited institution of higher learning.
• Experience teaching within online higher education settings.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in Data Analytics, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence

Responsibilities

• Actively engage students through frequent interaction that motivates them to succeed, and conveys energy and enthusiasm.
• Guide students in active collaboration and the application of their learning in problem- and project-based demonstrations.
• Provide rich and regular constructive feedback, utilizing rubrics for assessment of student work.
• Demonstrate current subject-matter expertise and help students connect concepts across their program.
• Provide feedback to the program chair on possible curricular improvements.

University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) seeks adjunct faculty to teach in the Data Analytics, Master of Science, program at Dorsey Station, MD.

Required Education and Experience:

• Terminal Degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence or related field from an accredited institution of higher learning.

• Experience teaching within online higher education settings.

• 3-5 years of professional experience in Data Analytics, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence

• This position is specifically teach at Dorsey Station, MD.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Industry Certifications in ML, AI, Data Science from Microsoft, IBM, Google, AWS.

• Experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education.
