Job summary

Aon plc in the UK is seeking a Data & Analytics Business Partner to translate complex data into actionable business decisions, partnering with senior stakeholders in a hybrid role based in London or Chelmsford.

You will attend stand-ups, gather requirements, perform data analysis with SQL and Power BI, and design analytics solutions that drive a data-driven culture across the organisation.

Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of SQL, Power BI, and the software development lifecycle.
  • Ability to prioritise, plan and project manage deliveries, and to resolve issues or conflict with senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business recommendations.
  • Experience working in a similar role with a focus on business partnering or consulting.

Responsibilities

  • Attend daily stand-up meeting with the Data & Analytics team to discuss ongoing projects, priorities, and any roadblocks.
  • Meet with a business unit leader to discuss upcoming initiatives and capture requirements for new data analysis projects.
  • Dive into data analysis using SQL and Power BI to investigate a recent trend in our data.
  • Design and build data & analytics solutions, thinking about data ingestion, refinement and visualisation needed.
  • Plan and lead a Data Council meeting to agree priorities and communicate progress to partners.

What the day will look like

Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • Ability to work in a team environment and to form strong relationships with stakeholders of all levels, whether in person or virtually.
  • Solid understanding of SQL, Microsoft Power BI, and the software development lifecycle.
  • Ability to help prioritise, plan and project manage deliveries, and to resolve issues or conflict with senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business recommendations.
  • Experience working in a similar role with a focus on business partnering or consulting.
