Job summary

Zirous, Inc. in West Des Moines, IA seeks a full-time Business Analyst to work directly with clients and Zirous technologists on data and analytics projects. The role blends consulting with hands-on requirements gathering, stakeholder facilitation, and bridging between business and technical teams.

You'll define project scope, manage tasks, and ensure delivery across data warehousing, reporting, and analytics initiatives while enjoying a hybrid work model with on-site days and remote days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to work a hybrid model within the Des Moines, IA metro.
• 3 - 5 years of business analysis experience working as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams.
• Previous Business Analyst (BA) or project management experience with modern data warehousing, reporting, analytics, or similar projects in preferred.
• Previous experience working with a project task management tool.
• Must understand the underlying process and basic concepts around application connectivities with previous configuration experience.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple client projects at one time.
• Previous experience along with interest in data analysis. Digging into data for insights is excites you.
• SQL experience is a plus.
• Experience with PowerBI is a plus.
• Has demonstrated ability to interact with clients in order to maintain good standing, which includes, but is not limited to, facilitating meetings to gather requirements, documenting business needs and leading status updates. The ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously is a must.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the client's main point of contact, establishing trust while proactively communicating project status, timelines, roadblocks, and recommendations.
• Act as the liaison between the client's team and the internal Zirous technical team, gathering and documenting business and technical requirements.
• Position will primarily work on data and analytics related projects, with the potential to expand into other divisions of Zirous.
• Take the lead role in: Facilitating client meetings, eliciting requirements, translating and simplifying requirements based on client needs, defining project scope and objectives, prioritizing client business needs, identifying manageable tasks and segmenting those into multiple project phases, creating requirements documentation, and managing the entire implementation of the project and communicating appropriately to all Zirous team and client team members.
• Validating solution has fulfilled the requirements.
• Designing, reviewing, and executing test cases.
• Designing, reviewing, and executing training related to technology solution.
• Creating presentations and other documentation for client projects.
• Managing project’s scope, budget, and timeline.
