Job summary

The University of Manchester is seeking a Data and Analytics Administrator to support statutory, strategic and operational reporting. You will work with Power BI, Oracle reporting tools, and in-house systems to analyse data and present insights to stakeholders.

You will lead reporting for HESA, OfS and ONS returns, engage with colleagues across the University to translate requirements into analytics solutions, and ensure data quality and timely submissions.

Qualifications

• Experience using data analytics and reporting tools to produce BI and MI insights.
• Experience with Power BI and/or Oracle reporting tools to meet business requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders with varying data literacy.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting outputs.
• Knowledge of data protection principles and handling of personal data.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and monitor reports supporting statutory, strategic and operational requirements (HESA, OfS, ONS).
• Lead stakeholder engagement to translate business needs into effective analytics solutions.
• Identify data quality issues and collaborate with IT/business teams to resolve them.
• Support HESA Staff Return processes, ensuring data accuracy and deadlines.
• Act as primary contact for reporting escalations and route complex issues appropriately.
