Job summary

Pro Staff is seeking a highly technical Data Analyst to support data analysis, reporting, predictive analytics, and an upcoming used-vehicle pricing initiative in Irvine, CA. The candidate will work with large datasets, SQL, Python, and BI tools to drive insights for senior management.

The ideal candidate has strong SQL and Python skills, experience with Power BI, and the ability to collaborate with Finance, Product Planning, and Data teams to build pricing models and dashboards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data science, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on SQL skills; SQL assessment required.
• Strong Python skills; Pandas/NumPy experience preferred.
• Knowledge of statistics, data structures, and relational databases.
• Experience with large datasets and data cleansing/validation.
• Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Query, analyze, organize, and validate large datasets using SQL and Python.
• Support Power BI dashboards, recurring reporting, and ad hoc analytics.
• Perform data cleansing, transformation, and validation.
• Support forecasting, predictive analytics, financial modeling, and what-if analysis.
• Assist with development of a used-vehicle pricing model and analysis of multiple data inputs.
• Analyze KPIs and provide insights to senior management.
• Collaborate with Finance, Product Planning, Big Data, AI/ML, and data engineering teams.
• Translate business and reporting requirements into data requirements and models.
• Maintain dashboards, data feeds, reporting, and data integrations.
• Document analytical processes and results.
