Job summary

Mercor is seeking data analysts and spreadsheet specialists for a research project with an AI lab. The role involves working on real data analysis workflows on your Mac and generating high-quality training data for AI models.

A strong Mac setup and 2–3 years of relevant experience or current Masters studies are preferred. The position offers a flexible, part-time schedule (approximately 10–20 hours weekly) with no high-pressure consulting expectations.

Qualifications

• Own a MacBook or Mac with Apple M-series chip or Intel processor, running macOS 15 or higher.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Numbers, and/or Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups, charts, data cleaning, financial or operational models)
• Experience with SQL, Python/R, or BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus
• Currently pursuing or recently completed Masters studies, or have 2-3 years of relevant experience + Bachelor's from a prestigious institution
• Ability to clearly explain your reasoning while you work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

You will work through real data analysis workflows on your own Mac to help benchmark and improve cutting-edge AI models.

Qualifications:

• Required: You must own a MacBook or Mac with an Apple M-series chip or Intel processor, running macOS 15 or higher. Applicants without a Mac cannot be considered.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Numbers, and/or Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups, charts, data cleaning, financial or operational models)

• Experience with SQL, Python/R, or BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus
