Job summary

Vanguard Group, Inc. in Philadelphia seeks an analytics professional to lead complex projects, translate business requests into analytical plans, and serve as the analytics expert on cross-functional teams.

You will acquire data, perform trend analyses, deliver visualizations and presentations, manage recurring reporting, and contribute to the analytics community through mentoring and training; this role follows Vanguard's hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years related work experience.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience; Graduate degree preferred.
• Strong technical skills including SQL, Python, and data visualization.
• Experience with testing methodologies (test design, results gathering and recommendations).

Responsibilities

• Engages with internal partners to understand business strategy, questions and goals; translates requirements into analytical project approaches and leads complex projects.
• Acquires and compiles structured and unstructured data and verifies quality, accuracy and reasonableness.
• Performs analyses of historical data to surface trends and insights using advanced analytical methods; validates techniques.
• Prepares and delivers expert-level visualizations and internal presentations that translate analytic insights into tangible, actionable solutions.
• Develops, owns and manages recurring analytic or reporting processes.
• Mentors and develops the analytics community at Vanguard through training and seminars.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Job description

The ideal candidate has:

• A deep understanding of or interest to learn about the Self-Directed business
• Ability to take large disparate data and synthesize actionable insights for leadership consumption
• Strong technical skill set (SQL, python preferred)
• Experience with PI enterprise Data
• Desire & ability to collaborate closely with our business partners to consult & gather requirements
• Experience in building resilient reporting products (e.g. dashboards)
• Experience applying advanced analytical techniques in a workplace setting (e.g. predictive modeling)
• Knowledge of analytic roadmap development in partnership with business stakeholders

• Develops, owns and manages recurring analytic or reporting processes.
• Actively develops the analytics community at Vanguard by mentoring, coaching and connecting others with resources and training. Participates and presents during scheduled analytics seminars.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
