Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. seeks a Data Analyst to join the TOM PMO & Analytics team and drive data-driven decision-making across transportation operations.

You will design dashboards, build ETL pipelines, and deliver insights to leadership for in-yard improvements in the Middle Mile. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and programming experience in at least one modern language; experience with BI tools and data automation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Knowledge of a modern programming language (Ruby, Java, Python, or C#).
• Experience using data to drive root cause elimination and process improvement.
• Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports using Amazon QuickSight and other BI tools to support TOM operational metrics and leadership reporting.
• Analyze large-scale transportation operations datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for operational improvement.
• Partner with program managers and operational stakeholders to define KPIs, establish measurement frameworks, and ensure consistent metric accountability.
• Develop and automate data pipelines, ETL processes, and reporting workflows to improve data accuracy and reduce manual effort.
• Implement and maintain AI-powered tools and automation to streamline data intake triage, stakeholder reporting, and operational analytics.
• Perform root cause analysis on metric variances and present findings with actionable recommendations to leadership.
• Ensure data integrity and quality across TOM dashboards by defining and enforcing data standards and validation processes.
• Support Weekly Business Reviews (WBRs) and other leadership mechanisms by preparing data-driven insights and variance callouts.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with various teams to translate business requirements into analytical solutions.
• Create and maintain documentation for data sources, metric definitions, data lineage, and standard operating procedures.
