Job summary

Amazon’s TOM Central Programs team seeks a Data Analyst to support the Analytic Insights group. You will build dashboards, define KPIs, and drive data-driven decisions for Middle Mile operations across the TOM organization.

Responsibilities include designing dashboards, analyzing freight datasets, automating data pipelines, and presenting actionable insights to leadership. This role emphasizes data quality, scalability, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Knowledge of a modern programming language (Ruby, Java, Python, or C#).
• Experience using data to drive root cause elimination and process improvement.
• Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.

The TOM PMO & Analytics team is looking for a Data Analyst to work within the Analytic Insights team to help drive data-driven decision-making, measurement, and reporting across TOM operations. In this role, you would be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing dashboards, metrics, and analytical solutions that support operational improvements and stakeholder needs across the organization. Key job responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports using Amazon QuickSight and other BI tools to support TOM operational metrics and leadership reporting
• Analyze large-scale transportation operations datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for operational improvement
• Partner with program managers and operational stakeholders to define KPIs, establish measurement frameworks, and ensure consistent metric accountability
• Develop and automate data pipelines, ETL processes, and reporting workflows to improve data accuracy and reduce manual effort
• Implement and maintain AI-powered tools and automation to streamline data intake triage, stakeholder reporting, and operational analytics
• Perform root cause analysis on metric variances and present findings with actionable recommendations to leadership
• Ensure data integrity and quality across TOM dashboards by defining and enforcing data standards and validation processes
• Support Weekly Business Reviews (WBRs) and other leadership mechanisms by preparing data-driven insights and variance callouts
• Collaborate cross-functionally with various teams to translate business requirements into analytical solutions
• Create and maintain documentation for data sources, metric definitions, data lineage, and standard operating procedures

About The Team

The TOM Program & Data Analytics team integrates strategic program management with analytics transformation across three pillars: 1. Program Execution — Drives end-to-end ownership of metric improvement, product development, and CPI initiatives from concept to measurable impact. 2. Change Management & Strategic Communication — Governs review, approval, and adoption of changes to standard work, policy, pilots, and proposals while aligning stakeholders through strategic communications. 3. Data & Analytics Insights — Ensures teams operate from accurate, timely metrics to identify gaps, measure progress, and make data-informed decisions. Together, these pillars enable TOM to execute programs, govern change, and run the business with data.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Asana Project Management Platform, or proven experience with a similar intake and project management tool
• Experience in transportation or supply chain
• Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis, or experience working with Excel, reporting tools, and large-scale data mining tools, such as Power BI, Python, SQL, or Tableau

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
