Job summary

The New York City Criminal Justice Agency (CJA) is seeking a Data Analyst to support the DART team by defining study populations, extracting and cleaning administrative data, and generating descriptive analyses with clear visual outputs for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

You will collaborate with multiple CJA teams to answer research questions, contribute to analytic planning, ensure reproducibility, and present findings to inform policy and practice in New York City’s justice system.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of data analysis, applied research, or related work in public policy or criminal justice.
• Proven ability to work with administrative or government data.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Define study populations and pull/clean administrative data.
• Conduct descriptive and exploratory analyses; produce tables and visualizations.
• Develop dashboards and data tools for diverse audiences.
