Job summary

Tech-Marine Business, Inc. is seeking a Jr. Data Analyst in the Washington, DC area to provide analytical, administrative, and reporting support to government and contractor leadership.

You will collect, consolidate, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources, develop reports and dashboards, identify trends, and assist in improving reporting, automation, and workflow efficiency. Proficiency with Power BI, Power Automate, and Excel is expected, along with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Public Administration, or related field.
• 1–3 years of professional experience in data analysis, program management, or related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas, charts).
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Collect, consolidate, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources.
• Develop recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to support program decisions.
• Identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvements.
• Assist in developing performance metrics and tracking program objectives.
• Support data quality reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Plan, coordinate, and track program activities, milestones, and deliverables.
• Maintain program databases, trackers, and management reports.
• Support data calls, tasking responses, and executive information requests.
• Present analytical findings clearly to project teams and leadership.
• Support meetings and program reviews by developing supporting documentation and reports.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting, automation, and workflow efficiency.
• Utilize Power Automate and Power BI to streamline processes and improve data visibility.
