Description

We are seeking a driven and resourceful junior level Data Analyst to join our team in support of the Navy Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs. You will work across data analysis, content management, and administrative coordination, making a tangible impact on national defense innovation initiatives. Success in this role requires self-management, clear communication, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative but distributed team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Data & Analytical Support

• Develop and maintain dashboards, data models, and visualizations using Power BI.

• Collect, clean, and analyze program data to generate insights and reports for internal and external stakeholders.

• Respond to ad hoc data requests and assist with tracking key performance indicators.

• Collaborate with team members to interpret findings and provide data-driven recommendations.

Website & Content Management

• Support updates to the Navy STP Workspace, Virtual Transition Marketplace (VTM) and public-facing program websites.

• Organize, edit, and manage web content using platforms like WordPress or similar tools.

• Ensure data accuracy and consistency across digital platforms and public-facing resources.

Administrative & Program Support

• Assist in planning and executing virtual webinars and online events, including coordination, setup, and post-event reporting.

• Provide general administrative support such as scheduling, documentation, and communications.

• Serve as a liaison with stakeholders and small business participants, ensuring high levels of professionalism and responsiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Information Systems, Business, Communications, or a related field.

• 2 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or program support roles.

• Strong working knowledge of Excel and general data management tools.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Self-starter who can manage time and tasks independently in a fully remote environment.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with JIRA project management tool.

• Proficiency in Power BI for building dashboards and reports.

• Experience with WordPress or other content management systems.

• Familiarity with webinar platforms (e.g., Adobe Connect, MS Teams) and virtual event coordination.

• Prior experience in government programs or with SBIR/STTR initiatives.

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. | Remote
