Job summary

JLG Industries is seeking a Data Analyst to identify, collect, process, and analyze datasets to support informed business decisions. You will assist with data analysis, visualization tasks, data quality improvements, and troubleshoot data incidents in collaboration with data engineers and data scientists.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3+ years of experience in data analysis or IT, with proficiency in Power BI and the Microsoft Office suite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent.
• Three (3) or more years of experience in Data Analysis, Information Technology, or in a related area.
• Experience and proficiency with various web-based software applications including Power BI Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.
• Ability to travel 20%.

Responsibilities

• Discover, acquire, explore, prepare, assess and maintain datasets from internal data sources to support analyses and ad-hoc requests.
• Under limited supervision, responsible for data analysis assignments, projects, visualization tasks, data quality improvements, and troubleshooting of data incidents.
• Apply SQL and statistical techniques to the acquisition, enrichment, and analysis of data.
• Collaborating with Data Engineers to draft and test data views to meet business needs for projects.
• Collaborating with Data Scientists to align on predictive analytics concepts and ML/AI basics.
• Provide data to confirm problems and opportunities and define goals, roles and sustainment plans.
