Job summary

The Texas Department of Transportation is seeking a Data Analyst III or IV in Austin to conduct detailed data analysis and research, translate findings into actionable insights, and develop dashboards using Tableau or related tools.

You will collaborate with teams statewide, ensure data quality, and prepare concise reports. The role emphasizes data visualization, reporting, and ongoing data standards, with onsite duties at Stassney HQ and opportunities for career advancement.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in data analysis, research, compilation, and/or report writing and design work experience.
• 3 years of experience in data analysis, research, compilation, and/or report writing and design work experience.

Responsibilities

• Participates in preparing and conducting presentations of performance visualizations and reports.
• Develops reports, dashboards and interactive visualizations using Tableau/Power BI.
• Identifies and interprets data patterns and trends and assesses data quality.
• Cleans and prunes data to discard irrelevant information.
• Modifies existing reports or develops new reports by analyzing databases, data sources, and structures.
