Christensen Associates in Madison, Wisconsin is seeking a full-time Data Analyst I to join our team of analysts working with a large logistics client. The role focuses on transforming raw data into actionable statistics and explanations under supervision.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States; this position is on-site in Madison and requires the ability to obtain a federal security clearance, including drug screen and background check.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, computer science, economics, statistics, math, or related field. We are willing to consider December 2026 graduates, but preference given to those who have graduated.
• Analytically and technically minded with the aptitude, ability, and interest in solving complex problems and learning new things.
• Knowledgeable in data analysis concepts (e.g., data cleaning, aggregation, visualization).
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (with intermediate knowledge of Excel) and software used for data manipulation (e.g., Python, SQL, SAS, or similar).
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written), organizational skills, and rigorous attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team in a deadline-driven environment while handling multiple competing priorities.
• Successful completion of a federal security clearance including drug screen and background check is required.

Responsabilités

• Collect and transform raw data into meaningful statistics, information, and explanations.
• Clean, analyze, interpret, and display client data using different approaches and tools.
• Troubleshoot data issues when they arise and find creative solutions to complex problems.
• Learn one or more areas of our client’s operations and their corresponding data sets and use that knowledge to answer questions.
• Assist senior team members in writing and reviewing reports.
• Provide data to others to fulfill project requirements (e.g., cost models, pricing strategies, regulatory reporting, and/or productivity measurement reports).
• Identify and recommend process improvements and efficiencies.
